Philosophy
"Whole
Health Wellness"
is a concept that embraces the art of living well. This is the
basis of Dr. Fleming's evolving work and techniques. The philosophy
of his work is grounded in the model that the body has a natural
ability to heal itself when it is free from blocks or interference.
This fits with the vitalistic model, one of the
two models of the health care field. The other model is allopathic
(medical) model: also called the mechanistic model.
For a good overview of "what heals" the body and the
vitalistic and mechanistic model, click here.
Dr.
Fleming's work takes the perspective that the body can heal itself
when the right thing is done at the right time. He combines a
number of different natural therapies such as chiropractic adjustments,
homeopathy, nutrition, meridian therapy, exercise programs, and
lifestyle management to identify and resolve the causes of an
individual's health concerns.
Personal
Interests
He
enjoys all sorts of outdoor activities such as hiking, mountain
biking, rock climbing, skiing, swimming, and caving. His love
for music and his drive to learn and grow in the spiritual and
healing arts is a strong passion behind his work and personal
life. He and his wife, Deborah, have a daughter, Samantha, and
son, Andrew and currently live in Longmont.
